After reading several reviews i was a little apprehensive about coming to this hotel . But I said I would write an honest unbiased review . Before I get into my review it’s worth pointing out This area was a predominantly Russian / Eastern European destination but in recent years they have opened the market massively to other customers. This hotel does state that languages spoken are German , Turkish and Russian . No mention of English so I was prepared with google translate int he event of any communication issues. So The hotel : we arrived shortly before midnight to find our room had a water leak And we would be put up in nearby hotel ( 100m away) just for the night and then they would have our room sorted for the next morning . Was it ideal ? NO could it he helped probably not so after a little bit of a stress my daughter and I got a decent sleep woke up and walked over the road to the Alexius beach hotel got checked in , got our room and went for a swim. The hotel were apologetic and offered us a free late check out for the inconvenience - brilliant customer service. The room - large family room , clean , enough wardrobe space , cool air con , fridge pretty much what I expected. Is it the ritz No but if didn’t pay ritz prices . To have your room cleaned and serviced you NEED to hang the sign in the door saying service room . No sign no service … The food area - large enough mainly outside dining and this heat it was appreciated . It’s self service from the hot plates , plenty of delicious looking salads and there is a grill doing different things each evening meal . Breakfast is limited to eggs , porridge and few other Eastern European delicacies. I opted for fried eggs from the grill , fresh bread and fruit . All good , my daughter had cereal and fruit . No problem. Lunch - again self service usually 1 veg dish , 2 meat dishes and rice / quinoa or bulgar wheat . Always delicious if not a little repetitive. Evening meal - very similar to lunch but with the addition of the outdoor grill offering a different thing everything night from fish which we loved to kebabs , koftas , chicken thighs / wings . Never once have I been hungry on this holiday and I like my food …. If chicken nuggets and chips is your sole holiday diet maybe this isn’t the place for you. To address other points made by others - stray dogs and cats , yea there are a few cats on the complex and two dogs that visit nearly every day , they don’t beg or at least the y didn’t while I was here and they seem to be well looked after by staff and visitors alike. The pool - large , refreshingly warm with enough sun loungers for everyone Bar - limited drinks yes but if you drink lager, vodka , brandy , rum , wine or soft drinks then alls good you can have more than one glass , sometimes they would short of glasses but it was never an issue to just wait a couple of minutes for my drink . The bar staff are fantastic , yes English isn’t the most widely spoken but they try I even
